On November 21-23 a workshop on the ‘Culture of Good Neighbourhood’ course, which is being run in education institutions in Ukraine, was held. This event was organized jointly by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science of and the NGO Integration and Development Center for Information and Research.
Springer Publishing has released four edited volumes on the life work of Elise Boulding. Edited by her son, J. Russell Boulding, these volumes honor the lifetime achievement of the distinguished activist and scholar on the occasion of what would be her 96th birthday (1920-2010). Known as the “matriarch” of the twentieth century peace research movement, she made significant contributions in the fields of peace education, future studies, feminism, and sociology of the family, as well as serving as a prominent leader in the peace movement and the Society of Friends.
Hosted by USIP’s Global Campus, participants of this special online course will learn from leaders of the AFSC community about specific moments, campaigns, and achievements in Quaker history centered on themes of movement building, addressing root causes of conflict, and the power of everyday people to create change.
