War Abolition 201 is a six week-online course (Oct 10-Nov 20) providing participants an opportunity to learn from, dialogue with, and strategize for change with World BEYOND War experts, peer activists, and changemakers from around the world.
World BEYOND War’s free 4-week (20-hour) online training “Organizing 101 Training” identifies effective strategies & tactics for engaging community members and influencing decision-makers. Participants will explore tips and tricks for utilizing traditional & social media and will look more broadly at movement-building from the perspective of “fusion” organizing and nonviolent civil resistance.
Throughout the summer, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement has brought a lot to the forefront of the public eye about systemic inequity, from police brutality to health care. One enduring topic that has come and gone when discussing inequity is education, which is affected by historic practices of redlining across the nation.
