Paiman Trust and Qadims Lumiere jointly organized a forum on “Promoting Tolerance and Pluralism: Peace Education in Schools for a Harmonious Pakistan.” The aim of the forum was to raise awareness about the importance of peace education in Pakistani schools and foster intercommunal understanding.
The European Union will provide support to a proposal from the Bi-communal Technical Committee on Education in Cyprus calling for the pilot production of educational materials on peace education.
The pilot application of the joint education project IMAGINE was successfully completed on June 2, 2017. The pilot, supported by the United Nations, took place in May with the participation of 160 primary school children ages 9-12, coming from 4 Turkish Cypriot and 4 Greek Cypriot schools.
