The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted in 2015, recognizes peace as a precondition for sustainable development. However, the goals and indicators of this agenda fall short in recognizing the intersection of gender and peace. As such, the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) prepared this policy brief to examine the linkages between Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and the 2030 Agenda and provide practical recommendations for their synergistic implementation.
