The Peace and Nonviolence Education network of Australasia website hosts network-developed curriculum resources, with a peace-theology frame, that has been used predominately in several Christian education systems (Anglican and Catholic) in four states of Australia, and one school in New Zealand from 2019-2022.
Access The Peace and Nonviolence Education network of Australasia websiteThe network lost some momentum during Covid but teachers in the initial networks continue to use the resources as part of their usual Religious Education programs. The website contains an overview of the units which were developed. Please use the contacts page (attention Brendan McKeague or Michael Wood) if you would like to be sent a link to the detailed curriculum resources, or would like more information. Michael Wood also wrote a book which could be used as ‘deepening’ resource for peace educators in Christian schools, or teachers wanting to create cultures of peace in any school. The book is called “Practicing Peace: Theology, Contemplation and Action” (Wipf and Stock, 2022), available in Kindle and print forms on Amazon.
