The panel began with the reading of a special message from Betty Reardon, one of the early members of the PEC. Panelists then responded to two prompts:
- What is one challenge you have encountered in the field of peace education and how have you worked to overcome it?
- What are the emerging needs and visions you hold for peace education looking ahead to the next 50 years?
These brief comments were followed by an open session where the audience formed small groups to explore and report on their respective future visions and how we might work together to advance them. The small groups reported on their discussions.
