Developing joint strategies and creating global networks: this was the focus of the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) alumni conference held from 5 to 7 November 2015 in Berlin. At the fourth annual alumni meeting, over 80 Education Program alumni, ECCHR staff and partners, including from the Bertha Foundation, met to share their professional and personal experiences in international human rights work. Participants came from Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Canada, Chile, Germany, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Palestine, the Philippines, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UK and the USA. In their discussion they placed particular focus on working with affected persons and communities and responsible evidence gathering. These issues were discussed in more detail in workshops on migration, gender and extractivism, pesticides, drones, and working conditions in global production chains. On the occasion of the meeting, the Education Program published a booklet about its activities.
